This unique online service offers several great new possibilities for sound designers, acousticians, web designer, studio, concert hall or club owners. It's for anybody, who is interested in taking a high quality fingerprint of a certain real acoustic space, called IR without the need of expensive measurement equipment or big convolution reverb systems...

IR - What is it good for?

  • AURALISATION for DOCUMENTATION on Internet or CDROMs

    web designers - e.g. for architects, acoustic consulters or concert halls - have a new dimension: document the acustics of the designed room by applying it virtually to any audio source material which can be listened to from the internet. (so you can even create your own acoustic libraries...)

  • ACOUSTIC IMPROVEMENT OF ANY ROOM

    from an IR of your room you can derive nearly all relevant acoustic parameters, which are a base for an expert acoustician for doing improvements.

Our OnlineService helps to get a very high quality IR of your room without the need to travel to your room or studio ! For auralisation this is the only ingredient you need together with a convolution tool like already implemented in certain pro audio software/hardware.

Optionally we can deliver a set of valuable graphical representations of standardized (DIN EN ISO 3382) acoustical parameters. Together with some pictures of your space we even can offer further remote consulting or link to local acoustic experts in your region.

Pinguin optimized the method of high quality "remote room sampling", where anybody with a basic understanding of how-to-use a speaker and microphon system can create his own RIA. In ancient times you took a pistol shot or a baloon's explosion with moderate signal to noise and frequency range results. Nowadays we have not only pretty good speaker systems and mikrofones in any professional studio available but also really intelligent methods to get rid of environmental noise which sometimes disturbs the measurment.
