Since 1992, Pinguin offers HighEnd CD Mastering services and live recording in Hamburg, Germany. Since 1997 we offer selected customers the finest 5.1 surround suite for music in town.

Our mission since a decade is:

delivering a quality stage which leaves the average clearly behind itself. To reach this target in a well defined time frame is a top priority for us.

We are not a 1:1 transfer studio. We understand mastering as a highly creative process powered by "platinum ears" and driven by state-of-the-art equipment, which the best mastering engineers worldwide do also respect. We did develop these systems partly by ourself. Digital audio technology in highest quality is also focused by our R&D departement.

The studio was always shared with a partner company:

The first 4 years we were located in the Central Sound Studio, which is reowned and called "Soundgarden" nowadays. From 1996 we did co-build and moved the SURROUND Studio-3 of the Sony Classical SpinOff Syrinx Music & Media GmbH. These people are famous for their pioneering work in DVD Audio (e.g. 3 DVDs of 3 years Jazzport Festival for Technics Panasonic) and full-service projects like Scorpions LiveAtExpo2000 DVD.
